Tarah Dunlop moved to Fernandina Beach 7 years ago from Illinois. She grew up in Illinois, Tennessee, and California. This little island saved her from a life of small-town cornfield living, sub-arctic winter temperatures, and a crazy ex-husband. She is forever grateful. Tarah is married to Brandon, owner of Elizabeth Pointe, and they have two young daughters, a newborn son, and a Chocolate Lab puppy. Tarah works in marketing as well as hosting the Tarah Coastal blog with future aspirations focused on ways to eat more food and attend more concerts. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Amelia Island Museum of History and the Rendezvous Film Festival. Under the 8 is the brainchild of Tarah’s father, Jack, who hosts his own popular baseball podcast, Top Coach.
Tarah is the creative writer behind the podcast and token Chicago Cubs fan.

Christy Le Lait was born in Kentucky, many moons ago (editor note: not that many moons ago) and lived in Colorado 35 years until she wised up and got out of the cold.
Growing up, she frequently visited her grandparents on Jekyll Island but it wasn’t until 2012 that Christy came to Fernandina Beach and fell in love with this island. After bringing her husband, Alain, here for his first visit in April of 2015, things moved quickly. The original plan was to purchase a house and wait to move until after the 2016 elections but decided that life was too short and politics were too crazy to wait. In November of 2015 Christy and Alain packed up their Colorado home along with Zoey and Marcel, their two dogs, and moved to paradise. The biggest highlight of Christy’s career was certainly receiving” Arthur Award-Best Peasant in Fernandina Beach” during Spamalot at the Amelia Musical Playhouse. She currently works as an aspiring Beach Bum, Website/Media Consultant for a couple of local companies and special event coordinator at The Book Loft.
Christy is the producer/technical brains of the podcasting operation, handling all of the sound equipment and editing. Her husband, Alain LeLait has provided the music for our podcast and can be heard in the background in the FB Market episode.

Tarah and Christy met while attending a Paul McCartney concert together with mutual friends which was originally scheduled for June but was changed to October after Paul had a brush with death. Both are grateful to Paul for overcoming his illness so that the friendship and podcasting adventures could continue.
They look forward to the day that he accepts an invitation to be interviewed on Under The 8.
